Welcome to Mountain Shadows Middle School

Knowledge, Service, Honor and Community

Mountain Shadows serves 800 students from the Rohnert Park/Cotati area, a suburban community of 50,000 at the center of beautiful Sonoma County.  Mountain Shadows provides excellent academic instruction, nurturing student services, and a healthy student community to ensure the success of our creative and dedicated students.  Mountain Shadows students benefit from the effective innovation and collaboration of our staff and leadership team.

Our teachers use up to date curriculum and assessments to inform and guide instruction, tuning methods to meet students where they are.  Academic interventions, guidance by counselors and support staff, and a dedicated teaching team contribute to our success in meeting the specific needs of our students and helping them reach their goals.  Our robust enrichment program offers students hands on experience in the technical and fine arts, broadening their experience and skills.  At Mountain Shadows, we are committed to the academic and personal success of all of our students.

Please take time to explore our website.  There are many resources here for our students, parents, and community.  We welcome your comments and feedback.  Thank you for visiting!
