Please join us for the next meeting of the PTO/PTA at Creekside on April 14th. This is a joint meeting of the two parent groups. Nominations are now being accepted for officers. Please join us and become part of the new parent group.
Nominations
The Middle School Parent Teacher Organization for the unified middle school is taking nominations for positions on the governing board. Your involvement in our new school is crucial to our success. Please discuss with fellow parents if they would be interested in volunteering for a PTSO Board position and offer their nominations to the PTSO Board. Nominatiions are due in the Creekside or Mountain Shadows office by March 31st, 2010.
Purpose of the PTSA
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is committed to increasing parental involvement in support of Mountain Shadows Middle faculty, staff, and students. Research indicates parent support helps to provide the best learning environment possible for students to be academically successful. And we think that's important.
